It's back! Summer School 2013

funded by People's Postcode Trust [*] and J.N.Derbyshire Trust.

This year the Sherwood F.C. Summer School will run for eight weeks, held at the top end of Woodthorpe Park every Sunday morning from 19th May to 7th July. It is FREE and open to any children currently in Reception and Year 1, plus a girls only session for those in years 3 and 4. Players just need to bring a drink and a pair of trainers or football boots and be ready to join in the fun. Sessions take place 10.30-11.30 and all coaches are FA qualified and CRB-checked.

[*] The People's Postcode Trust is a grant giving charity funded entirely by players of People's Postcode Lottery. Our Summer School project received £2000 from the Trust towards kit & equipment, enabling many young children in Nottingham to enjoy a positive first experience of playing football. Sherwood FC - Welcome

Sherwood Football Club was formed in the mid 1990s and has grown to become one of the biggest junior clubs in the city of Nottingham, with 30 teams for boys and girls from aged 5 and upwards.

The club places an emphasis on teamwork, friendship and player development above winning at all costs. All of our coaches must be FA Qualified within one year of joining the club and players, coaches and spectators are expected to follow the FA Respect guidelines at all times.

In August 2010 Sherwood FC was presented with the National FA Charter Standard Development Club of the Year Award at Wembley Stadium.

In 2011/12 men's team Nottingham Deaf FC began playing as Sherwood FC, in the Nottingham Amateur Alliance.
