Sherwood FC - Welcome
Sherwood FC was founded in 1996 and was very proud to achieve Charter Standard Development Club status in the 2007/08 season. Even though we prefer winning to losing we do not run teams to win at all costs, and we provide good quality coaching and facilities so that players and teams improve their skills all the time.
Sherwood Football Club prizes enjoyment, development, sportsmanship and teamwork above winning and always demand good conduct from players, supporters, managers and coaches.
Sherwood Football Club is proud of its diverse mix of players and we will always encourage our teams to provide football for children irrespective of their social and ethnic background. We are keen to expand the number of teams we have that provide football for girls.

U11 Girls Triumph In Clifton

Our U11 girls brought back more silverware from the Clifton FC tournament by beating Arnold Town 3-2 on penalties. A thoroughly deserved trophy from the girls, only conceeding one goal in seven matches (...and scoring nine!).
Barry Hands Team To Boysie

After three years Barry Hamlin steps down as manager of his team, due to the fact that his son Bryce has decided to concentrate on his Ice hockey. Barry has taken his team to a cup final, wining the YEL Cup and two successful League promotions. And a very respectful league position this year, only loosing 5 times in 26 league matches.

Our U12 Girls have just lifted their Divisional Title and our U11 Girls (Blue) have reached their Cup Final. A big congratulations to Paul, Jason and their respective teams, supporters and helpers. These achievements reflect well on the Club as well as the teams who have worked so hard in pursuit of these successes.
Sherwood Bag Lottery Grant

Sherwood FC have been awarded £5,040 from the Big Lottery Fund's 'Awards for All' scheme.
The money has been earmarked for kit and equipment for new teams as well as helping to pay pitch fees at Carrington.
